Frequently asked questions about the platform

Getting started

What is Yorker?

Yorker is AI cricket coaching. Upload a clip and it analyses your technique from the way your body actually moves. Ask it a question and it answers as a specialist in whichever part of the game you asked about — batting, bowling, fielding, fitness, nutrition, the mental game or the laws. It also builds practice plans around your goals.

Is Yorker available now?

Yorker is in early access. Join the waitlist and we will let you in as we open up access.

What do I need to use Yorker?

A modern web browser, on a phone, tablet or computer. For video analysis you need a clip of yourself batting or bowling — one shot on a normal phone is enough.
Coaching & AI

How does Yorker analyse my technique?

Upload a clip and Yorker tracks the key points of your body through the action, measures the joint angles, and compares them against sound technical benchmarks. It then names the flaw and gives you a specific fix and a drill to work on it.

Can Yorker analyse video shot on a phone?

Yes. A clip from net practice or a match, recorded on a normal phone, is all it needs. Yorker overlays the skeletal keypoints on your action, names the technical flaw, and gives you the fix.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

A general chatbot can answer cricket questions — it can't watch your action. Yorker analyses your actual batting or bowling from a photo or video, measuring real body angles rather than guessing, answers as a specialist in the part of the game you asked about, and grounds its advice in a cricket-specific knowledge base instead of the open internet. It's the difference between asking about your cover drive and having something look at it.

Which languages does Yorker support?

You can ask in the language you think in — Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, English and more — and the coach answers in it, keeping the English cricket terms where that is how the game is actually spoken. The interface itself is in English and Hindi today.

Can coaches or academies use Yorker?

Yes. The Coach plan gives you 10 seats and the Academy plan gives you 25. Both buy one shared coaching workspace: your players talk to the AI coach inside it, you can read those conversations, the video lessons sit alongside them, and coaching, tools, research and video analysis are pooled across the group rather than capped per player. There are no progress dashboards or assignments yet. There is no self-serve checkout either — get in touch and we will set your workspace up.
Plans & privacy

Do I need to pay to use Yorker?

Not during early access — joining the waitlist is free and paid billing is not switched on yet, so nobody is being charged. Yorker has a free tier you can keep using, and the paid plans raise the limits. The pricing page has the detail.

What happens when early-access pricing ends?

The early-access price you see today is the price you will pay when we open access to you. It is the reason the waitlist exists. We are not going to tell you it will never be beaten, because we cannot know that — only that this is the price we are holding for the people who joined early.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, that is how it will work. Paid billing is not switched on yet, so there is nothing to switch between today. Once it is, you change plan from your account settings, the change applies from your next billing period, and your locked-in early-access rate carries across.

Can I cancel, and do you offer refunds?

Nobody is being charged yet, so there is nothing to cancel today. When billing does start you will be able to cancel from your account settings and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We will publish the refund policy before we take a first payment. If something is wrong in the meantime, write to us and a real person will read it.

What happens to the video I upload?

Your clip is uploaded to our storage and analysed, and the analysis is saved to your account so you can come back to it. The analysis runs on Google Gemini, or for some file types on a model hosted by OpenRouter. On the Google path the clip is held for up to 48 hours and then expires. We do not sell your footage. Two things we would rather tell you than have you discover: right now the storage link to a clip is not restricted to your account, and there is no button to delete a clip yourself. We are changing both. Until then, ask us and we will remove any clip. The Privacy Policy has the full detail on how your footage and data are handled.

Who can see my account and my coaching chats?

Only you. Your account, your coaching conversations, your journal and your practice plans are yours, and we do not sell your personal data. The one exception is a team workspace: conversations you have inside a Coach or Academy workspace are visible to that coach, and the workspace tells you so. Your personal account stays private either way. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
